Turkey Hill expands in Arkansas
The US food & beverage brand Turkey Hill has announced a significant expansion of its ice cream division through the acquisition of the Arkansas production facility of Yarnell Ice Cream, a subsidiary of Schulze & Burch Biscuit Company.
Owned by Peak Rock Capital since 2019, Turkey Hill will now be able to expand production capacity and geographic coverage in the US, where it already operates one of the largest ice cream and refrigerated drinks production facilities in Conestoga, Pennsylvania.
Within the facility, powered by 100% renewable energy, the company is continuing its investment plan which includes upgrading existing lines and personnel expansion.
Concurrent with the transaction, Turkey Hill has entered into a co-manufacturing agreement whereby it will continue to produce ice cream for the Yarnell’s brand, which will be retained by Schulze & Burch Biscuit Company.
