Just 10 days from idea to production
With the valuable support of CP Flexible Packaging, it took just ten days for HR Pharmaceuticals (Pennsylvania), a pharmaceutical company specializing in medical lubricants and ultrasound gels, to start up production of a new hand sanitizer packaged in convenient flexible disposable packets (each containing a single 3 g portion of gel).
Unlike large multi-serve bottles, the “one-and-done” packets are strictly personal and eliminate all risk of contagion. Artwork was sent within hours and CP Flexible Packaging was able to deliver the finished rollstock in record time.
HR Pharmaceuticals began production at its York facility in early April at a rate of four to six million packets weekly. The company had initially planned a six-week production run but is now considering adding hand sanitizer to its standard products portfolio. The hand sanitizer is available for sale through the national medical distribution network and is also being donated to local frontline workers, including police departments, fire stations, EMTs, prisons and courthouses.
