The French agri-food industry responds to the coronavirus: we are strong and resilient
The French agri-food industry is represented by the Association Nationale des Industries Alimentaires (ANIA).
“During the current healthcare emergency, the production and supply of food is a major responsibility for the sector’s 17,000 agri-food companies and 1.2 million employees. Non-stop production will be guaranteed,” said Chairman Richard Giradot. FNSEA, the National federation of trade unions for agricultural activities, a sector not affected by the government’s new lockdown laws, has called on the Minister of Agriculture for administrative flexibility and urgent measures to boost employment over the coming months when new harvesting activities will increase.
