Dairy industry guarantees continued production

The world dairy industry, one of the hardest hit sectors during the current health emergency, is taking the necessary steps to be able to continue its activities while complying with the protocols issued in the various countries.

The dairy supply chain is working full engine and under toughened safety protocols. According to EDA data, so far only minor local production sites have been closed down due to a lack of personnel.

Jim Mulhern, president and CEO of the National Milk Producers Federation (USA), said that in the United States milk and dairy products will continue to be produced and available in the coming weeks and months.
