Coca-Cola to invest 1 billion euros in France over the next 5 years
Coca-Cola is preparing for yet another investment. This time it has set its sights on France, where the multinational (The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola European Partners) will invest 1.1 billion euros over the next 5 years.
Half of the investment will be used to upgrade production facilities while the other half will be devoted to distribution and brand development.
Special attention will be focused on the growth of the two new brands: Tropico, acquired by The Coca-Cola Company in September 2018; and FuzeTea, which was launched exclusively for the French market.
Regarding this latter brand, the group has announced that it will equip the plant in Socx (Dunkerque) with a new state-of-the-art aseptic bottling line that is expected to become fully operational by mid-2020.
Additional investments across all five production plants in France will allow for the introduction of a larger quantity of recycled material in bottles and cans and the replacement of plastic by cardboard for secondary packaging
