Marchesini acquires Axomatic and V2engineering
Strategic acquisitions give further impetus to Marchesini Group's rapid expansion strategies in cosmetics packaging.
Pianoro, 19 June 2019 - Specialized in the production of turboemulsors, tube filling machines, volumetric dosers, filling lines, cartoning machines for various sectors, Axomatic (Settimo Milanese, Mi) has thus entered the orbit of the Marchesini Group: together with Dumek (acquired in 2017), thanks to thirty years of know-how and its portfolio of multinational customers, Axomatic will further accelerate the consolidation process of the Marchesini cosmetic sector, increasingly essential for the Group's growth policies.
The second buy-up concerns V2engineering (Zola Predosa, BO), whose cartoners - a high-level mix of Emilian manufacturing and cutting-edge technologies - will further enrich Marchesini's offer at end of line, a key stage in the production chain for packaging cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.
Both companies will be purchased with a majority stake without, according to Group policy, changing the production processes, the company structures and the main partners of the same: in fact, the newly purchased companies will continue to manage customers, projects and products independently, according to their consolidated internal dynamics.
For its part, as the majority shareholder, Marchesini will be responsible for fine-tuning the organizational supervision and commercial activities of the two industrial companies.
Luca Olivieri and Carlo Veronesi, respectively CEO of Axomatic and V2engineering, are extremely pleased to join a large Italian group, envisioning the possible synergies with the same, as well as the potential for consolidation and development of their own activities.
«Our plans for constant growth do not allow us to stop» said Marchesini Group CEO Pietro Cassani.
«These two new acquisitions head in a precise direction, that offers us an even further strengthening in the cosmetics packaging segment, respecting its needs and requirements, often different from those of the pharmaceutical world. To succeed, we have started constructing a 9 thousand square meter building entirely dedicated to managing this segment».
Following the launch of the project last May, the works for the new Beauty Division are now fully underway with the laying of the foundations, which will be followed by the building of the structure itself which will include offices and production department.
Once functioning, the division will act as a link for the Group’s entire cosmetics galaxy that, thanks to the new acquisitions, will reach a turnover of 50 million euros in 2019.
