The future of food handling: new developments include the Special Hygienic Conveyor (SHC) and the range of drum motors.

Italian operators were able to discover at Cibus Tec a series of innovative Interroll proposals. These include the Special Hygienic Conveyor (SHC) solution, a component of the Modular Hygienic Platform (MHP), which makes it possible to achieve highly efficient material flows in food processing processes with zero accumulation.

The decentralised drive concept used in SHC allows for a saving of up to 50% of energy in start-stop operations alone, compared to centralised drive solutions working continuously. Other pluses include the level of noise, improving working conditions, and the reduction in wear and tear during the transport of standard E2 cases. SHC is, moreover, the first modular platform in stainless steel in the Food and Beverage world that permits the transport of unit loads with zero pressure accumulation, reaching superior safety standards compared to traditional systems in the handling of food products. Interroll Italia also exhibited its entire range of drum motors, essential for food and beverage production, management and packaging systems.

Its internal R&D has produced high-technology handling components, making drum motors for F&B a super hygienic and internationally certified solution, optimized for energy saving, low operating noise, the absence of maintenance and reliability.
