Rigoni di Asiago, an iconic Italian organic food producer renowned for its brands Nocciolata, Fiordifrutta and Mielbio, has acquired French organic chocolate maker Saveurs & Nature.

The French company has a turnover of €12 million, 80% of which is generated in the domestic market and the remaining 20% in the rest of the world.

France is the most important export market for the Italian company, with its Nocciolata branded product ranked second in terms of sales of spreadable creams (and first considering only organic products).

The aim of the acquisition is to continue to grow the Saveurs & Nature brand in the French specialised distribution system and abroad and to bring together the companies’ respective experiences and skills so as to accelerate innovation and make the production site in Montréverd a centre of excellence for the development of organic chocolate.

Rigoni di Asiago has a turnover of around €130 million and a workforce of 245 people. The group was founded in 1923 and is now led by the third generation of the family.
