With Pozzoli, branded and sustainable “attire”
Packaging Première places the spotlight on the Devotion Paper Bag for D&G.
“A professional, impassioned approach to dressing our customers’ products” is what drives Pozzoli, a company founded in 1968 in Inzago (Milan) that produces finely crafty packaging in the Entertainment, Cosmetics & Perfumery, Fashion & Accessories, Wine & Spirits and Food sectors. At Packaging Première & PCD 2024, Pozzoli played a leading role, with one of its products - the Devotion Paper Bag for Dolce & Gabbana - selected by a jury of experts in the Design category and displayed in an area of the trade show dedicated to the ‘Avant-Garde’.
A challenging project. The company’s marketing manager Daniela Sapone describes the distinctive features of this iconic bag for D&G, crafted exclusively in paper and cardboard: «From a quality and design perspective, » she explains, «this project posed a huge challenge. The pack has an unconventional shape, and required an extremely high level of quality and maximum attention to every detail. This product is a source of enormous satisfaction for us. One of the most challenging details was the handle, made entirely from cardboard and offering a perfect combination of resistance and elegance. The end result is a packaging solution that is entirely handmade: the beautiful paper it is lined with was created specifically for the model by James Cropper and embellished with a gold hot stamping detail that faithfully reproduces the hallmark element of the classic Dolce & Gabbana bag it’s inspired by».
A passion for patents. Sapone highlights the importance of research and development, a matter of particular pride for the Milan company. «We are always seeking to create innovative structures, which often become patents. One of our most successful solutions has been the Twist2OpenTM packaging, fully recyclable and with an innovative opening system. We have now developed another product that is currently at the patenting stage, the B-lock by PozzoliTM, for the Wine & Spirits and Cosmetics & Perfumery sectors: a safe, innovative and sustainable way to keep bottles or containers blocked using only paper and cardboard, with a very simple structure that saves on costs and raw materials».
