V-Drive: new standards

Efficiency, robustness and reduced dimensions: these are the characteristics that mark the difference of the V-Drive series compared to market standards and make it suitable even for the most severe applications.

With V-Drive, WITTENSTEIN alpha revolutionizes the concept of the classic worm gearbox.

The WITTENSTEIN alpha series of V-Drive worm gearboxes has been technologically optimized and offers maximum power with minimum bulk, while ensuring full compatibility with the gearboxes of the previous versions.
Three distinct ranges have been developed - Advanced, Value and Basic - to meet the most diverse needs in terms of cost and performance. Let’s examine them in detail.
 • V-Drive Advanced, with a wide spectrum of outgoing interfaces and a backlash of • V-Drive Value, with a backlash of • The range is completed by the new V-Drive Basic, designed for applications where the economic aspect prevails, while guaranteeing high uniformity of rotation. With torsional backlash of

Advanced transmission systems
In the V-Drive series, the reduction ratios range from i = 4 to i = 400, with speeds of 6000 rpm and torques from 68 Nm to 1505 Nm. A common feature of all the gearboxes in the range, in addition to the quiet operation, is the possibility of continuous use, thanks to the optimization of the gaskets, to meet the ever-increasing demands for greater machine productivity.
The output shapes are a lot and include smooth shaft, shaft with key, blind hollowshaft, keyed hollowshaft or output on both sides.
The series can be requested in corrosion-resistant and food-grade grease versions, so that they can be used in many axes in the packaging industry.
