For the ITEM m6 brand of stockings and compression undergarments, by “medi” (German manufacturer of hygienic articles and orthopedic aides), rlc | packaging group and Sappi Europe have created a premium packaging solution that combines the silky consistency of Sappi’s Algro Design paperboard with a practical snap closure.

Since the packaging is opened like a book, the customer can easily examine the project before reclosing the packaging with the resealable closure, which has been optimized and located on one side, posing no risk of damaging the product.
The women’s articles are presented in a brilliant white packaging made from 350 g/m2 pure cellulose Algro Design, while the men’s articles draw the eye with a deep black. The text and graphic elements are printed in silver and double black using UV technology, adding to the refinement of the overall look. The coating is soft to the touch and echoes the comfort guaranteed by the products themselves.
In addition to the appreciation of consumers, the solution has also received official recognition, winning the Red Dot Design Award and ending up a finalist in the non-food category at the Pro Carton ECMA Awards.
