The new blisterpack machine RM1025
A project for production continuity and technological advancement, demonstrating the knowhow of Famar Packaging.
Famar Packaging is a leading concern in the design and construction of automatic packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors.
The concern’s more than 45 years of experience, with over 2000 machines installed in the most industrialized nations, secure Famar’s rightful place among the concerns that have contributed to Bologna technology’s success worldwide.
First established as a builder of blisterpack machines and thermoformers for packs destined for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, the concern later integrated its offer with cartoning machines (both continuous and intermittent) for inserting not only blisters and packs, but also flacons, tubes and more.
The success achieved with this configuration has driven Famar to further develop its competencies, expanding its production portfolio with end of line systems for film wrapping, paper wrapping and palletization.
Propelled by its past technical achievements and the encouragement of its customers – who for their part have sustained the concern’s growth – Famar has recently developed a new blisterpack machine project targeting operators who already possess one of the mechanical models of the RM class, but who wish to upgrade their own automation systems with more technologically advanced machines. Through careful study of adaptability, the new electronic blister pack model RM1025 is capable of re-using standard equipment originally designed and installed in mechanical models of the RM class.
The strategic advantages of this choice are twofold: on one hand, the advantage offered by a modern installation (the RM1025 meets the technical and compliance characteristics of the most advanced machines), with precise and electronically controllable performance; on the other, that of not having to decommission pre-existing standard equipment. For countless pharmaceutical concerns the latter need is by no means negligible: stocks of standard equipment often represent a significant capital, and the possibility of re-using that capital, rather than buying a new machine, means a considerable economic advantage, as well as in terms of production continuity.
Already enthusiastically welcomed by many users, this new machine well represents that synthesis of tradition and innovation on which Famar has always operated.
