New development in the SI Series by Volpak

VOLPAK strives to innovate and respond to the continuous growth in flexible packaging and, to this end, is committed to expand the successful range of SI Series machines by developing the new SI-440 model, which will be officially presented during 2017.

Small or large production runs, for liquid and solid products
The new SI-440 horizontal machine is the result of the company's intense R&D work and incorporates multiple innovations in relation to the existing models of this series.
This new machine is one of the most flexible and versatile horizontal machines in the packaging market today. The new SI-440 adapts perfectly to every need: from projects requiring large production of small and medium-sized formats (from ¼ litre with production up to 200/spm), to projects that require large format packaging (up to 2 litres, liquid or solid products).

SI-440: technical features
The new SI-440 guarantees maximum reliability and stability when forming the packaging, including a new filling and sachet-closing system, suitable for all types of products, packaging materials and various designs and formats.
The machine is also equipped with a new format-change system, simpler, more attractive and faster, in order to optimise the machine user experience and to achieve minimal waste of materials and time. SI-440 features the fully-automatic adjustment of the opening and stretching of the sachets.
Finally, the machines offers the possibility to control the sealing temperature and pressure, adjusting the necessary sealing time and optimising the 3 parameters of pressure/temperature/time with respect to the type of material and packaging to be produced. This allows us to maximise the machine's performance and the quality of the finished product, even in the most adverse working conditions.

Markets and applications
Among the multiple applications for which the new SI-440 model can be used, the cereal market is especially noteworthy, since it is probably the greatest exponent of innovation and modernisation in the packaging market, and the search for packaging that goes beyond the traditional 'Bag in box'.
The zip-close stand-up packaging is the one that best adapts to market tendencies, since 
it perfectly meets the expectations of both manufacturer 
and consumer.
