Plastic made by nature

The products fielded by FKuR GmbH meet the growing demand for biodegradable and compostable plastics in conformity with EN13432 regulations.

The close collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute - Umsicht provides access to the latest technological knowhow in materials and production technology. The Bio-Flex® range comprises compostable resins suited for the most common converting technologies with a biobased carbon content of up to 50% for shopper application, 70% for rigid packaging and transparent films for flowpack.
In the next few months a new generation of grades will be available for the production of compostable bags for fresh produce, featuring excellent transparency and with a renewability content modulated to the demands of the different markets.

FKuR accompanies its production of biodegradable compounds with the distribution of biobased (non biodegradable) products such as Braskem’s green polyethylene, GLOBIO biobased PET and TERRA Polyamide Vestamid. Green polyethylene is obtained from sugar cane derived ethanol. To have a sustainable solution, the converter only needs to entirely or partially replace currently used petrochemical polyethylene with green polyethylene.
