40 years of ecological printing, and beyond ...
Lining up the packaging that Rotoprint has saved from disposal over the last forty years, you could circle the globe almost 25 times. In fact, from 1978 to today, thanks to the system invented by company founder - Giancarlo Arici - to modify the wrong or obsolete packaging with overprinting in rotogravure, 950 thousand km of material has been recovered.
Which, translated, means millions of euros saved by concerns that turn to the Lainate based company to recover packaging that would otherwise have to be discarded. It also means a lot less CO2 discharged in the atmosphere, since this processing replaces the production of new material.
Today Rotoprint is run by the founder’s son Giovanni Luca Arici who as CEO heads a company of some fifteen employees and serves customers throughout Italy and in many countries abroad.
Together with the concept of “recovery”, which has marked the Rotoprint philosophy, placing the company well ahead of the times, the company continues to innovate.
This specifically in the case of research that it is carrying out on overprinting in flexo, which would make working even small batches of packaging worthwhile, along with the overprinting of waterbased colors: a technological challenge that Rotorprint is tackling in the name of greater sustainability and of respect of the circular economy.
