With the objective of supplying Manufacturing Intelligence to enterprises of every size - whether offering a complete MES or a solution to aggregate specific contextualized data and perform a quicker time-to-value calculation - Rockwell Automation has developed new versions of its software suite FactoryTalk, with expanded functions that facilitate implementation and integration with production..

Enhanced reporting. The expansion of the offer includes FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI v.5.0, the centralized reporting and product analysis software in the FactoryTalk software suite. Version v5.0 enables quickly creating prototypes. Moreover, it features better reporting functions and a greater number of display options on mobile devices. For this reason, during design it is possible to more easily add, delete and edit entries in the unified production model (UPM) VantagePoint, reducing development times and accelerating time-to-value.

The new reporting functions are based on Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and other tools to enhance layout control, the capacity for generating reports and information sharing. Those connected to the mobile device enable visualizing data reports on any mobile device and saving preferred views for future use, with automatic notifications.

The FactoryTalk suite also includes the bundle VantagePoint Energy, which supplies information on the energy of the production systems; a more complete version of FactoryTalk Metrics, which monitors equipment in the line and their performance; the new FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition, which gathers, archives, analyzes and displays production data, now also available at the level of HMI.
