In fact, thanks to a particular additive based on natural elements they are effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria and fungi (Pseudonomas, Aureous Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Listeria, E. Colli, Aspergillus, B. Cereus). The effectiveness against the growth of these bacteria is 99.9%, and has been certified by an independent laboratory according to ASTM E2180 direct inoculation protocol.
The protection against microorganisms is continuous: Silver ions embedded in the Sirec flooring are in fact released to the surface through a ceramic material which regulates the release in a slow and steady manner.
Unlike antimicrobial chemicals, those based on natural elements are less toxic and, using multiple mechanisms for attacking the microbe, and can help avoid the problem of his resistance capability.
