“Visionary” of the year

First and foremost the faculty that most struck the jury of the “Entrepreneur of the year 2011” Award was the capacity for foresight: Manfred Wittenstein, chairman of the eponymous Baden-Württemberg based company, turned the small company of sewing machines inherited from his forebears into a global transmissions and drives market leader, thus earning the title of "visionary."

In its 15th German edition, the competition “World Entrepreneur of the Year 2012", organised by Ernst & Young in over 50 countries, proclaimed Wittenstein winner in the Industry category as well as representative of Germany in the international competition, that will be held this coming June at Montecarlo.
