  • Coca Cola doubles capacity at Kostinbrod

    Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Bulgaria has invested more than €24 million in a new PET bottle production line which will double production capacity at the Kostinbrod plant in western Bulgaria.
  • Japan to lighten up beer cans

    Two of Japan’s biggest beer producers, Sapporo and Suntory, are working together to make cans lighter by designing almost 10% thinner lids. The aim is to cut aluminium usage by up to 3% and consequently reduce wastage and CO2 emissions.

    The 2018 financial results posted by Lavazza confirm the group’s steady growth and increase in operating profitability. Consolidated revenue totalled €1.87 billion, 9.3% up on the previous year’s €1.71 billion.
  • Candia Italia posts positive 2018 results driven by the lactose-free segment

  • Heineken makes $100 million investment in Mozambique

    Heineken has officially opened its first brewery in Mozambique in a ceremony attended by the country’s President Filipe Nyusi. The facility will produce the new Txilar brand beer using locally grown maize as well as other international brands such as Heineken, Amstel, Sagres and Strongbow.
